Tom Stewart was one of Geelong's best on the night.

Tom Stewart and Mitch Duncan have each received four votes from Chris Scott and Adam Simpson for their performances in Geelong’s Round 9 loss to West Coast on Saturday night.

In his second game back from a broken collarbone, Stewart produced his best performance of the season against the Eagles.

He finished with 22 disposals, a game-high 11 intercepts and two contested marks. Stewart was also ranked third on the ground for metres gained (489m) behind Patrick Dangerfield and former Cat Tim Kelly.

Mitch Duncan was another strong performer for the Cats.

The 29-year-old won 21 disposals and was clinical with each possession operating at 90.5% efficiency.

He kicked a brilliant set shot from 52 metres out in the first quarter and had a game-high eight score involvements.

Captain Joel Selwood remains Geelong’s best placed performer on the AFL Coaches' Association's AFL Champion Player Award leaderboard.
