Geelong has received a big boost ahead of their blockbuster qualifying final against Port Adelaide on Thursday night with the addition of two crucial Cats.
Rhys Stanley and Tom Atkins return to Geelong’s best 22.
Stanley will play his first game since Round 14 after a groin injury has kept him out of the team, whilst Atkins returns after being managed last week.
Stanley’s inclusion is a particularly big boost for the Cats’ finals hopes. Geelong has an 86% winning record this season with him in their side, winning six of the seven games he has featured in, including the Round 12 victory against Port Adelaide.
Esava Ratugolea and Jack Steven make way for the Cats. Both players have been named as emergencies alongside Brad Close and Zach Guthrie.
Jed Bews will play his 100th AFL game.
The match will be televised on Channel Seven with the first bounce at 7.40pm AEST.
