Geelong's defenders deserve plenty of credit for Friday night's impressive win over the Crows at the Adelaide Oval.

Adelaide went into the game having kicked the most points in the competition over the first seven rounds, yet the Cats held them to just 72.

And they did it despite losing key backman Tom Lonergan to concussion in the opening minutes of the contest.

Lachie Henderson was outstanding in his role on Taylor Walker, while Harry Taylor was similarly impressive.

Taylor, who held Josh Jenkins to two goals, was credited with 13 spoils.

Andrew Mackie also made a very valuable contribution by getting the better of Tom Lynch, while Corey Enright was his usual dynamic self.

Enright even snuck forward to boot a crucial goal in the last quarter, which kick-started the Cats' barnstorming finish.

Now we want to hear from you.
