Could Cam Guthrie go back-to-back in this year’s Carji Greeves Medal?
Cameron Ling and Scott Gullan shared who they believe are the leading contenders for this year’s best and fairest award on this week’s podcast and had the Guthrie at the top of their lists.
They also agreed that Tom Stewart would be a close second to Guthrie, with key forward Tom Hawkins slotting in at third place at this stage of the year.
From there was where it got interesting as they debated which other Cats might feature in the top five after 11 rounds with Gullan placing Isaac Smith and Joel Selwood in his top five.
“I am going to agree with Isaac Smith in the top five,” Ling said.
“I think Joel’s last three weeks have been brilliant. I think his first three to four were solid which leaves me to say that I am going to give Isaac Smith fourth position right now and I am going to slot Mitch Duncan in at fifth.”
“He is going to suffer a little bit because of missed games but I think Duncan’s big games were big.”
