This afternoon in Perth,Australia team coaching staff member Ross Lyon named the 2014 Australian squadfor the Virgin Australia International Rules Test against Ireland.
The three Premiership stars from Geelong to be elected on this year’s exclusive list were the Cats skipper Joel Selwood, Vice Captain Harry Taylor and Steve Johnson.
As part of thisyear’s new squad selection format, the AFL has only chosen highly talentedplayers who hold an All-Australian title.
The 24-man squadwill be led by Hawthorn’s head coach Alastair Clarkson and Geelong’s senior coachChris Scott, Fremantle’s Ross Lyon and Sydney’s premiership defender TadhgKennelly will assist.
The annual one-matchclash will be held in Perth at Patersons Stadium on Saturday, November 22, 2014.
