    Team Selection | Round 15

The Cats have named their team for tomorrow night’s blockbuster clash against Carlton at the MCG

    Proudly presented by

    Simonds Homes

Geelong have made three changes for their clash with Carlton, with Patrick Dangerfield headlining the list of inclusions.

The skipper is back for his first game since round seven, with Ollie Henry and Zach Tuohy also returning from injury for the clash with Blues.

Tanner Bruhn will miss 4-6 weeks after sustaining a left wrist fracture, with Rhys Stanley (knee) also missing the clash with Carlton through injury.

Shannon Neale is the final player to make way for the returning trio.

The Cats faced Carlton earlier this season, defeating the Blues by 13 points in Round 7 at the MCG in front of a record home crowd.

Geelong takes Carlton this Friday night at the MCG, with the first bounce at 7.40pm.

The match will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and streamed on Kayo, or fans can listen to all the coverage on K rock Football from 6.00pm.

Match Report | Blues v Cats

Geelong has fallen to Carlton the MCG, finishing with the 63-point deficit in Round 15

Geelong has fallen to Carlton the MCG, finishing with the 63-point deficit in Round 15.

Max Holmes fought hard against a strong Blues midfield to finish with 25 disposals and seven clearances, while Ollie Dempsey enjoyed the open spaces of the MCG, finishing with a team-high 25 possessions.

A positive out of the night was the return of Patrick Dangerfield, the skipper gathered 17 disposals and four clearances in his first game back from injury.

Chris Scott swung a surprise change, with Sam De Koning playing primarily in the ruck against his brother, collecting 20 disposals and 20 hit outs while also kicking the second goal of his AFL career.

The Cats battled to withstand a Carlton surge in the opening half, trailing by 36 points at the main break.

Ollie Dempsey was strong in the first half, picking up 11 disposals and kicking a brilliant goal, while Jeremy Cameron landed two majors in the second term - including a long-range set shot after the half time siren.

With their backs against the wall late in the third quarter, the Cats strung together three consecutive goals to breathe life into the contest heading into the final term.

Unfortunately, the Cats struggled to build momentum in the final term, as Carlton closed out the 63-point win.

Jeremy Cameron led the way up forward with three goals, while Gryan Miers laid a career high nine tackles while also winning 23 possessions and five clearances.

Geelong will be back at the MCG next Saturday night, taking on Essendon in the annual Country Game.
