Cameron Guthrie will notch an impressive milestone in Canberra on Sunday.

When he runs out to take on the Giants, Guthrie will have appeared in 50 consecutive Geelong matches.

The 23-year-old last missed a game when he was rested from the club’s round 23 home and away clash with the Brisbane Lions at Simonds Stadium in 2013.

Guthrie made his AFL debut in round one, 2011, and he has been a regular member of the Cats’ AFL side since 2012.

He finished fifth in Geelong's 2015 best and fairest.

Guthrie was named in the back pocket in AFL Media’s Round One Team of the Week after an impressive performance in the victory over Hawthorn on Easter Monday.

According to the journos at AFL.com.au, Guthrie “put the blanket on Cyril Rioli and Luke Breust before moving into the midfield in the final term, where he kicked a vital goal and provided plenty of run.”
