Geelong has added Victorian picks 10 and 23 to its draft hand following a trade that will see Phoebe McWilliams and Victorian pick 8 head to Carlton.
McWilliams, 36, played 31 games at Geelong, following a 14-game stint at her first club, GWS Giants, and has been a stalwart in the Cats’ forward 50, known for her strong marking ability.
McWilliams averaged 2.6 marks a game and 7.2 disposals. She has kicked 35 goals over her 45-game career to date.
“Phoebe has been an experienced leader in our attack since joining our club in 2019, and we thank her for all she’s done at the Cats,” Geelong Cats Head of AFLW and Pathways Brett Johnson said.
“She has been a strong focal point for us up forward, and we wish her well as she looks to continue her footballing journey at Carlton.”
