It took a full team effort for Geelong to record an extraordinary win on Thursday night, with all 23 players capitalising on their opportunities whenever a big moment presented itself across the four quarters.

The Cats midfield were heavily influential, the forward line booted at least four goals in every quarter, while the defensive unit held the Crows high octane offense to just four goals after half time.

While every Geelong player could have featured on this list, check out the top six standout performances from Thursday night's big win over Adelaide.

Jeremy Cameron

15 Disposals, Four Goals, Nine Score Involvements

Geelong's spearhead forward has not quite had the impact on the scoreboard we are used to seeing in 2025, but that all changed in a hurry with a dominant four goal display against Adelaide on Thursday night.

Cameron collected 15 disposals and registered an equal team-high nine score involvements, while also taking six marks in a match-winning performance inside forward 50.

Perhaps the most crucial part of Cameron's display was the timing of his goals, kicking three majors in the last quarter to help the Cats turn an eight point three quarter time deficit into a 19 point win.

Bailey Smith

35 Disposals, Nine Score Involvements, Six Clearances, 643 Metres Gained

The Cats star recruit has taken no time showing the Geelong faithful what he is capable of, putting together yet another phenomenal display in the Gather Round victory.

Smith amassed a game-high 35 disposals and nine score involvements, with his run and carry particularly important as he recorded 643 metres gained to help generate plenty of attacking plays for Geelong.

If that was not enough Smith also pushed forward to boot a goal, while showing his supreme running prowess by working back to pick off five intercept possessions.

Max Holmes

32 Disposals, Seven Tackles, Five Clearances, Seven Inside 50's

Speaking of running prowess, Max Holmes had a massive impact generating a game-high 805 metres gained against the Crows.

The emerging star collected 32 disposals which was second highest on the ground, recording seven inside 50 entries and five clearances to help spark plenty of the Cats ball movement.

Holmes also did plenty of tough things inside the contest, laying seven tackles and four intercept possessions in another terrific performance.

Tom Atkins

24 Disposals, Nine Clearances, Eight Score Involvements

What about the start to the 2025 season from Tom Atkins.

The tough on-baller might have been the most influential player on the ground against Adelaide, dominating in and around the contest to finish with nine clearances and 15 contested possessions.

Atkins also made the most of his disposals, recording eight score involvements while winning a number of crucial contests at key moments to help spark the Cats comeback.

Patrick Dangerfield

16 Disposals, Four Goals, Six Score Involvements

It was noted during the week that the skipper's new role as a forward has been a success, but that hit new heights on Thursday night.

Dangerfield kicked an equal game-high four goals, taking his season tally to 11 while also collecting 16 disposals and registering six score involvements.

The Cats captain stood tall in a number of crucial moments, as he and Jeremy Cameron combined to kick all five of Geelong's final quarter goals.

Connor O'Sullivan

15 Disposals, Four Marks, Seven Intercept Possessions

It might not have been as spectacular on the stat sheet as his last few games, but Connor O'Sullivan once again played a vital role in Geelong's big win.

With the defensive unit missing a couple of important pieces, O'Sullivan continued to back his strengths and finished the night with a team-high seven intercept possessions.

The Cats defence held the Crows to just four goals after half time, with O'Sullivan playing an influential role across half back and even sneaking forward to be a presence in the final term.
