PATICK DANGERFIELD says Geelong ‘is ready for the challenge’ that awaits after celebrating his 300th AFL game in style at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday night.
Dangerfield gathered 22 disposals (11 contested) and nine score involvements in Geelong’s 85-point victory. A 13th consecutive win for the Cats.
Speaking with Fox Footy post-game, the 32-year-old declared that this group is ready for finals.
“I just feel like we are ready. It is hard to compare one year to the next, but this group just feels like it is ready for the challenge,” Dangerfield said.

“I don’t feel like we’ve peaked yet. We’re still working on things and improving certain parts of our game."
“The resolve of this group. There is extreme focus with what we want to achieve, and tonight was another stepping-stone for that. We understand the job at hand and what’s ahead and we cannot wait for it.”
After playing 154-games for Adelaide, Dangerfield was thrilled to bring up his 300th AFL game at GMHBA Stadium.
“I loved my time at Adelaide and did wonders for the start of my career. Then coming back home to this place, there is just something so special about it.”
