With an epic clash against the Swans coming up on Thursday night we take a look at who will be a chance to be picked.

Jarred Jansen
After being named as emergency for the Cats AFL side on Friday night, Jansen did himself no harm in the VFL on Saturday.  18 touches of which a majority were contested, three center bounce clearances and four tackles will give him plenty of ammunition for a senior debut.

Steve Johnson
Not only is Johnson in the mix. He’s in team. The Cats will welcome back the amazing ball winner into the starting line up.

Taylor Hunt
Hunt was omitted from the AFL side last week and returned to VFL action on the weekend. Although he didn’t rack up a lot of touches he can play a variety of roles especially shut down ones, keeping him in mind for the selectors.

Jake Kolodjashnij
With Tom Lonergan under a cloud after suffering a concussion, could Jake Kolodjashnij be selected for his debut? The young key position defender has played really solid football all season for the Cats VFL side and on Saturday had 10 touches, three marks, eight spoils and seven rebounds from 50.

Jackson Thurlow
Jackson Thurlow put in one of his most impressive performances for 2014 finishing the day with 20 touches, 10 handball receives, eight rebounds from 50 and a goal. A classy player who the Cats will want to get more games into at the top level.

Darcy Lang
Darcy Lang is starting to put together some performances to show why the Cats took him with their first pick. 23 touches, four clearances, 13 contested possessions and four good shots on goal that he unfortunately couldn’t convert. Get excited Cats fans.

Josh Walker
Walker was another who was emergency for Friday night who could be called upon this week. Some good marks and one goal on Saturday will mean he is a chance if the Cats look for some structural changes.
