Geelong has secured Oliver Henry in a three way trade with Collingwood and Hawthorn on the last day of the AFL trade period.

In exchange for Henry, Geelong traded pick 25 to Collingwood and Cooper Stephens to Hawthorn.

The out of contract Pie had confirmed in September that he would like to play at Geelong alongside his older brother Jack and would seek a trade.

The No.17 pick in the 2020 National draft has kicked 28 goals in 25 games in his two seasons at the Pies.

Geelong Head of List Management Andrew Mackie said the Club was thrilled to have Henry join the Club.

“Ollie is a very talented player and will be an exciting addition to our playing squad.

“He has been impressive in his first two seasons of senior footy and we believe Ollie can continue to flourish and develop as part of our football program and environment.

“We thank Graham Wright and Collingwood for facilitating Ollie’s request.”

On farewelling Stephens from the Club, Mackie said, “We thank Cooper for his contribution to our Club, he’s a quality person and an exciting talent and we wish him the best in the next part of his football career.”

Stephens, 21, made his debut in 2022 and played seven AFL games. He was drafted at pick 16 in the 2019 National Draft.

The Club has secured Tanner Bruhn (GWS), Jack Bowes (Suns) and Ollie Henry (Pies) as incoming players across the Trade period. The Club also holds picks 7, 58, 64 in the 2022 NAB AFL Draft which commences on 28 November.
