Tom Stewart has been named in Geelong's team to face Gold Coast on Sunday, just two weeks after injuring his knee in Round 1 against Collingwood.
Ruckman Jonathon Ceglar has also been picked for his first game of the season, replacing Rhys Stanley in the selected side.
Stewart suffered an Grade 2 MCL injury to his right knee against the Magpies but returns to take on the Suns after coach Chris Scott said he was 'banging down the door' for selection this week.
"He's made really, really strong progress, he's banging down our door", Scott told reporters on Thursday.
"It's really exciting for us that an injury that looked like it could be multiple weeks, if not a month is not going to be that."
Stanley, Gary Rohan and Cooper Whyte have all been named as Emergencies alongside defender Jake Kolodjashnij.
The substitute will be announced an hour before the match.
First bounce is at 2.10pm AEST, with the match to be televised on Fox Footy and Kayo.
