We take a look at which Cats are in the selection mix to face the Hawks at the MCG on Saturday.

Tom Stewart
After initial fears that Stewart would miss the rest of the season, Coach Chris Scott gave Stewart “every chance” to play last week against Richmond and will be a chance to play this week after positive news on his ankle injury.

Rhys Stanley
After averaging 17 disposals and 28 hitouts over his previous five games, Stanley was a late withdrawal against Richmond, but is a good chance to come back in to tackle the Hawks, despite the impressive performance of debutant Ryan Abbott. Could be the first time that we see the Cats play two specialist ruckmen in the same side this year.

Charlie Constable (31 disposals, eight marks)
Another outstanding performance from the first-year player, Constable is getting closer and closer to a debut. Averaging 31 disposals over his past three games in the VFL.

Wylie Buzza (22 disposals, nine marks, 10 hitouts, three goals)
Buzza was dominant against the reigning premiers in the VFL with 22 disposals and three goals. A big chance to come in and add some extra height to a Cats forward line which could stretch the Hawks defence.

James Parsons (20 disposals, seven marks, two goals)
A solid performance from Parsons to help his chances of a recall. Has been emergency for the past few weeks after being omitted following the two-point loss to the Dogs.

Zach Guthrie (16 disposals, four marks)
With a possible shoulder injury to first choice Jed Bews, Guthrie is a chance to come in and bolster the Cats defence to help tackle the in-form Hawks forward line.

Zac Smith (50 hitouts, 17 disposals)
Smith was the dominant ruckman on the ground in the Cats VFL win, racking up 50 hitouts as well as 17 possessions to be named the best.
