Ingrid Houtsma is set to play her first official game for Geelong after being named as one of four inclusions for Saturday's VFLW clash against North Melbourne.

The athletic winger crossed to Geelong via a trade with Richmond ahead of AFLW Season 7, and is no stranger to the state league, having played four games for the Tigers' VFLW affiliate Port Melbourne last year. Houtsma has been named to start forward for the Cats.

Forward Cheryl de Groot returns after being a late withdrawal last week due to illness, while Eliza Wilson-Macdonald and Emily Worpel are also back into the line-up.

Chloe Scheer (managed), Liv Fuller (managed), Abbey McDonald (injury) and Sarah Perrott (medical) are the four outs.

The game shapes as an important one for the Cats as they look to get a gauge on their improvement since Round 1.

The Cats faced off with the Kangaroos then, ultimately going down by nine points at Deakin University, but have won every game since, and will be eager to return the favour on the Kangaroos' home deck.

First bounce is at 1pm at Arden Street Oval on Saturday. All 2023 VFLW matches will be streamed live and free through the official AFL/AFLW Apps and website.
