Guthrie on the Cats big win

We had some guys that did some really impressive things individually, which helped keep us in the game.

[Adelaide] have been going really well, they have been putting up really high scores in games which is obviously tough to come up against.

In the second half I thought we came out really well, and in that last quarter we came home hot.

The game could have gone either way really, but we were able to capitalise on some important moments which is nice, and to come away with a win is always nice.

Guthrie on the team's resilience

In my time, I have been really lucky to come through having Joel Selwood as a captain and Paddy Dangerfield now.

I have been pretty lucky to be led by those guys, and they just instil that belief in the group along with 'Scotty,' the coach and the other assistant coaches I have had in my time.

You just learn from guys coming through that no lead is unassailable.

Just having those guys at the top leading you with that "never say die" attitude, along with their brilliant acts on the field really helps as well.

Guthrie on Bailey Smith's influence

He has been going really well for us, he is a really hard runner and really smart with where he runs which is something that I have been impressed by.

His ability to link our play from defence, through the midfield, to drive it forward for us and give some of those guys like Paddy and 'Jez' opportunities.

It is something that has been great for us early in the season, and something that he will keep building I am sure.

He is coming off a tough year with an injury, but he has stepped in really well and been important for us.

Guthrie on the Easter Monday blockbuster ahead

It was nice to enjoy that win last night because they have been going really well Adelaide.

It is never easy coming over here and coming away with the four points, so that was great to enjoy that.

Pretty quickly I will shift my focus to Easter Monday, it will be a huge one.

Hawthorn have been going really well and they have been playing some really damaging footy, so it is going to be something that we will have to be on top of, and the opportunity to play on Easter Monday is always exciting so looking forward to that.
