Geelong midfielder Max Holmes will undergo surgery on Tuesday for a meniscus injury to his right knee which will sideline him for the medium term.

Holmes sustained the injury in last Saturday’s match against Fremantle and was able to play out the game.

Geelong Cats General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd said, “Max has been enjoying an impressive start to the season so we are disappointed for him and for the team that he will be sidelined until after the bye.”

The Club’s full Health Update will be available on geelongcats.com.au on Tuesday afternoon.
