Cats TV joined Geelong’s physio, Mike Snelling, in the nib Medical Room for this week’s injury update.

Today Snelling was able to give us some positive news about speedy midfielder, Taylor Hunt.

Despite undertaking surgery six weeks ago, after injuring his collarbone in round 7 against Essendon, Snelling believes Taylor has recovered well and should be available to play this week.

“He had surgery to fix his clavicle bone that was cracked and he’s (now) ready,” Snelling said.

“The bye came at a really great time, he’s been able to do a lot of training and he’s doing some contact training, and hopefully we should see him this week.”

Unfortunately recovery hasn’t been as easy for Hamish McIntosh. After making progress with his problematic knee, he is now experiencing discomfort in his ankle.

“Hamish McIntosh’s knee is really good although he is suffering from a niggle in his ankle, which is taking a while to heal,” Snelling explained.

Jared Rivers is progressing well. He is now back running and has started to take part in some training sessions.

George Horlin-Smith has also pulled through his quad injury and will be back training this week.
