Patrick Dangerfield and Esava Ratugolea are both set to make their returns against Sydney on Friday night.
Dangerfield is back after suffering a rib and lung injury against Port Adelaide a fortnight ago, while Ratugolea will play his first game since Round 11 after overcoming a hamstring injury.
The added boost around the midfield and defence will be welcome for the Cats as they prepare to take on a Swans outfit that booted an incredible 31 goals from 77 forward 50 entries against West Coast last week.
Jeremy Cameron (concussion protocols) and Mark O'Connor will both miss the Swans clash through injury. O'Connor has a minor strain of an adductor muscle, but is expected to be available for selection next week.
The game will see Zach Tuohy draw level with AFL great Jim Stynes for most VFL/AFL games played by an Irish-born player, with 264 games at the top level.
The Cats will name their substitute one hour before the first bounce.
Geelong takes on Sydney this Friday night from 7.50pm (local time) at the SCG.
