The Cats have made just the one change to the side that defeated Port Adelaide by 12 points at GMHBA Stadium last weekend, bringing in young key forward Shannon Neale in place of Jack Henry, who was ruled out with a footy injury earlier in the week.
It'll be the athletic 203cm 21-year-old's third career game after debuting against Adelaide in Round 11 last season.
Neale had 21 disposals, took 11 marks, and kicked three goals in Geelong's 90 point win over the Northern Bullants in the VFL in Round 19, before the Cats had a bye.
The Cats will travel to the MCG to take on the ladder leading Magpies, albeit coming off two straight losses to Carlton and Hawthorn respectively, while Geelong got back into the winner's column against the Power after dropping two of their own following on from their 77 point win over Essendon in Round 18.
Both sides will be looking forward to a contest that has provided some of the most thrilling games in modern memory, with five of the last eight games decided by 13 points or less.
Brandan Parfitt, Oisin Mullin, Sam Menegola, and Jed Bews round out the emergencies.
The Cats will name their substitute one hour before the first bounce
