Nina Morrison has polled eight coaches votes for the third time this season after another scintillating performance against Melbourne on the weekend. 

Morrison has polled eight votes in Round 2 against Sydney, in Round 4 against Adelaide, and now in Round 5 against the Demons after a 30 disposal, eight clearance, one goal performance against the ladder leaders. 

The 22-year-old has now polled in all but one game and is now in 12th place on the overall leaderboard with 26 votes.

Amy McDonald is the only other Cat to receive a vote, picking up two for her 27 disposal, 7 clearance effort.

The AFL Coaches Association’s AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
