Dan Lowther on... What's on the line

You look at the ladder and you can see there's a fairly big logjam with teams who are battling to stay in the bottom half of the eight or even push to the top half. That's on the line, a position to stay relevant come the postseason.

So, big game obviously, Collngwood has hit their straps the last few weeks and looks to be getting strong, but for us it's just about making sure we're doing the same with our consistency piece around the way we play our style and our system.

Dan Lowther on... How Close the Cats are to their best?

I reckon we're pretty close to be fair. If you look at our chances in front of goal last week, kicking 6.11, if you just managed to half the points that we kicked then we're back to posting some good scores for the entries that we have.

I thought our inside 50s were much better last week as opposed to the weeks prior. Aishling (Moloney) is getting shots on goal and she's only going to get better, Chloe (Scheer) always looks threatening, so our usual suspects upfront are getting chances so if we just make the most of those opportunities it just goes to show that we're putting the piece of the jigsaw together from our defence, to our midfield to our forward half.

Once that clicks into place, I think you'll see our best.

Dan Lowther on... Team Changes

I think we're pretty comfortable with our lineup. We've got a number of players who can come in if we need to. Last week's game was a good step in the right direction so I think we'll go into the game with the same lineup.

Dan Lowther on... Julia Crockett-Grills (50 games) & Meghan McDonald (50 club games)

Meg's leadership speaks for itself, she's been exceptional. She's gone through adversity as a younger player entering the competition with the Bulldogs and then having to find her feet back into an AFL team. She's been super.

Julia's probably gone under the radar to be fair. Full-time work, never misses a session, had some injury issues a couple of seasons ago, but just a strong, contested, honest player that gets better and better every week. It says something as a coach you can look at her and say you've got full trust in the way that she goes with her preparation and her performance.

Two fabulous players to have in the team and the conditions this week will suit Julia to the ground so I can't wait to see her unleash.
