The match between Essendon and Geelong on Saturday will form just part of the entertainment in the first ever ‘Country Game’.

From 10:30am, the Live Site outside Gate 3 will open. 

The stalls and entertainment on offer will bring a taste of the country to the city.

From homemade cheeses, to delicious jams and gourmet puddings – if you’re after a pre-game snack there will be plenty to choose from.

If it’s the competitive action that gets your juices flowing, be sure to check out the whip cracking, wood chopping and sheep sheering.

And there will be some great artists on show too including John Williamson, Darcy Nolan and Mustered Courage.
