An interstate trip and a return to Colac are on the cards for Geelong’s VFLW side in 2024, with the League today confirming the full fixture for the upcoming rebel VFL Women’s season.
The Cats are set to open their campaign with back-to-back games at GMHBA Stadium in the first fortnight, with the games against Carlton and Box Hill Hawks to be scheduled as double-headers with Geelong’s VFL men’s team.
In Round 4, the Cats will return to Colac for the first time since 2019, when they take on Darebin Falcons at Central Reserve.
The following week, Geelong’s VFLW team will travel to Sydney to take on GWS Giants at Tom Wills Oval.
Both GWS Giants and Sydney will participate in the VFLW for five rounds in 2024, between Rounds 3 and 7, with the matches to be played for premiership points.
With the addition of the two New South Wales-based clubs, there will be just two opponents the Cats play twice in 2024, with return matches against Carlton (Rounds 1 and 7) and Box Hill Hawks (Rounds 2 and 12).
The Cats will warm up for the season with two practice matches:
Saturday 2nd March Vs Williamstown
11.00am @ Deakin ESP
Saturday 9th March Vs Collingwood
11.00am @ Deakin ESP
