King on the midfield mix
With our midfield group at the moment, we are going to have to be a team that relies on weight of numbers.
We have got the flexibility in there, at times other teams have a cemented three or four players that play in there, we are going to have to bat a bit deeper at times.
There is a real opportunity and excitement about that, we are pretty optimistic even though tonight at times there was a lack of cohesion, because so many numbers were going through there.
That will settle down more as we get into the season.
King on Gryan Miers' Impact
His pre-season has been one of the best at our club.
Every session he has been available, he has put together a huge body of work. He is a really important player for us structurally and the way we go about it.
He is someone that studies the game really strongly, he has a great footy brain on him and is very comfortable with his place in the team.
He has been really important for us, with or without the ball throughout the pre-season.
King on Jack Bowes' Performance
I thought he was good tonight.
Early in the game Essendon's pressure was really strong and we invited that too with overuse by hand, but Bowesy I thought was really important.
He got his hands on the ball a lot, when he kicks the footy more than he handballs he makes great decisions for us. I thought that was a real positive for us tonight, what he did through the midfield.
He is a flexible player, he gives us a lot of options with where he can play but I thought his midfield work tonight was great.
King on Jeremy Cameron
He has had a great pre-season again.
He is fit, resilient and just keeps getting to work everyday.
Again I think Jeremy got everything he wanted to out of tonight, he was up and down the ground with freedom and moved around a bit.
You also get excited about seeing what he can do around the footy as well, he is a great player and a unique athlete with his size and the way he covers ground.
We will continue to use that to our advantage.
