ATT: Which Cat will keep going?
Cats TV catches up with Jimmy Bartel and Scott Gullan for Argue the Toss to discuss which player has the most years left?
Special guest Jimmy Bartel joined Cats TV for Argue the Toss with journalist Scott Gullan to discuss which Cat will have the most longevity.
Essendon’s key defender, Dustin Fletcher, played against the Cats 20 years ago in 1993 and he’s still playing strong today at the age of 38.
Bartel can’t foresee any Geelong players reaching Fletcher's milestone of 368 games, however, he believes Corey Enright has the resilience and skill set that will keep him on-field for a few years to come.
“I think Corey Enright, obviously we saw his 250th last weekend and was nearly probably our best player on the ground, or top two or three, at 250 games and still playing elite football I think he has the potential to go on,” Bartel said.
Gullan on the other hand believes we’ll see many more years in Harry Taylor, despite being a late recruit.
“I think Harry Taylor, I know he’s a mature age recruit but Harry doesn’t seem to miss much and he plays in that tall defensive role where longevity sometimes helps.”
