Max Holmes and Jack Bowes have been recognised for their strong performances against Richmond, with both players awarded nine coaches votes in the AFL Coaches Association’s AFL Champion Player Award.

Holmes continued his brilliant season with another dominant display, amassing 29 disposals and five clearances against the Tigers along with an important goal right after the half time break.

The round 12 clash marked the eighth time in nine weeks that Holmes has featured in the votes, averaging 26 disposals per game across the 2024 season.

Jack Bowes was instrumental through the midfield collecting 29 possessions, which included a brilliant stoppage goal along with eight tackles.

Bowes also won a career high nine clearances on Saturday night, going at 80% disposal efficiency in a clinical midfield display.

Oliver Dempsey was also rewarded for his terrific display on Saturday night, receiving six votes for his 27 disposal and three goal performance against Richmond.

Mitch Duncan received one vote from the coaches, with the ever reliable Cat picking up 27 disposals at 80% disposal efficiency, while also hitting the scoreboard with a crucial goal.
