This week the Geelong Football Club is recognising the Barwon Health Foundation and Medimime Productions, two organisations that have a substantial impact and a positive influence on the local community.  

Representatives and volunteers from the Barwon Health Foundation and Medimime Productions had the opportunity to attend Friday night's match against Melbourne, sitting in the Dulux Community Bay. 

The Dulux Community Bay has been established to provide local community groups, families and individuals the opportunity to attend a Geelong Cats home game. 

During Friday's match, the Barwon Health Foundation and Medimime Productions were also recognised at quarter time with an on-field introduction, along with a video explaining the fantastic work they do.

The Barwon Health Foundation aims to create happier, healthier lives by investing in the life-saving and life-changing work of Barwon Health. 

Medimime is an amateur theatre group, originally formed by a small group of medical professionals to raise money for much needed hospital equipment. In 2024, Medimime Productions celebrated 50 years of performing their annual pantomimes for appreciative audiences in Geelong. 

Each year, Medimime present their annual pantomime which raises funds for the Barwon Health Foundation.

Medimime have staged 45 pantomimes which have raised more than $600,000 for the Barwon Health Foundation - funding medical equipment and the enhancement of patient care services, and provided wonderful entertainment for the greater Geelong community. 

Dulux Community Hero | Daniel Grocott

Danie Grocott is the current Vice President of Medimime Productions. Daniel generously gives his time and talent to Medimime Productions, helping to raise money for the Barwon Health Foundation.

Scott Graham is the current President of Medimime Productions.  Together with a the Medimime team Scott and Daniel, have created a huge community of like-minded medical professionals and thespians, providing important social connections and raising money to give back to their community. 

Scott and Daniel’s long-time contributions have made a huge difference to Barwon Health and health care throughout the Geelong region.

Geelong Cats members are encouraged to purchase a Dulux Community Bay Membership Add-On, which helps to provide local community groups, families and individuals the opportunity to attend a Geelong Cats AFL home game.
