The VFL Cats continued their perfect start to the season on Friday afternoon, taking down the Casey Demons by 16 points at GMHBA Stadium to record their third consecutive win.
Geelong were able to kick away late in a tight, high scoring contest booting five of the last six goals to secure the victory.
Jhye Clark spearheaded the Cats with a terrific performance in his VFL return, well supported by George Stevens who continued his stellar start to the year.

Clark responded strongly in his return to Geelong's VFL team, piecing together a brilliant performance through middle to lead the side to victory.
The young on-baller collected game-high's in disposals, inside 50's and score involvements, adding eight clearances which was the second highest of any player behind George Stevens.
Showcasing his toughness inside the contest, 14 of Clark's possessions were contested against the Demons while also displaying plenty of speed when breaking away from stoppages.

Stevens start to the 2025 season has been sensational, featuring amongst the Cats best players on the ground in each of their three games so far.
The tough midfielder is averaging 29 disposals and nine clearances per game across the first three weeks, adding five tackles and five score involvements to help lead the Cats to three consecutive wins.
Another stellar performance in round three saw Stevens finish with 27 disposals and seven score involvements, while leading all players on the ground for contested possessions and clearances.

Geelong's new VFL recruit missed the round one win over Sandringham, but has wasted no time making his presence felt the past fortnight with a pair of impressive games.
Rantall followed a 22-disposal and one goal performance in round two with another 21 disposals and two goals against the Demons, going at an impressive 90.5% disposal efficiency in a tough contest against a strong opponent.
His impact in the forward half has been particularly impressive, adding four inside 50's and four score involvements in the round three clash.

Wiltshire continues to impress each week, showing great signs of his development and potential in the early stages of the season.
After travelling with the AFL team last week, the young talent made a strong return against Casey collecting 24 disposals and kicking two goals, while also recording nine score involvements which was the second highest of any player.
It follows on from a strong round one performance where Wiltshire had seven scoring shots from 17 disposals, continuing to cause headaches for opposition defenders with his speed and agility.

Another recruit that has impressed early in the season, Kreuger has been a key anchor in defence for the Cats and has been heavily influential in the three wins to this point.
Leading the Cats in marks and intercept possessions against Casey, the key defender also collected 15 disposals and went at 80% efficiency to help his side set up attacking forays.
Kreuger is averaging nine intercept possessions per game across the first three weeks, giving the Geelong backline reliability and stability which should hold them in good stead throughout 2025.
With the VFL competition taking a bye during the AFL's Gather Round, Kreuger will feature for the Smithy's VFL State Team squad in their special match against the SANFL’s West End State Team.
