Geelong Cats member Amy Honrade is now the proud owner of a brand new Ford Puma, thanks to Ford, after winning the major prize in the 2024 Hoops Raffle.

A proud Geelong supporter, Amy drove away in her brand new car on Wednesday after taking out the raffle’s top prize.

Amy said that she had no thoughts about winning a prize, but found that the raffle was her way of being able to support the club.

“Initially, the reason why I bought the ticket was because I thought it was a way of donating to the club,” Amy said.

“It is more like a way of paying it forward, not about the winning.

“It’s a very exciting experience, I thought the club called me as a joke, I told her that I don’t want to have a bad joke on that day, but it was true.

I decided to support Geelong when we came over in 2008, I don’t know why but I just liked the Geelong Footy Club.

“I love the feeling when you go to the stadium, when all these people are shouting for your team.”

Over 6,500 tickets were sold in the 2024 Hoops Raffle, with a total prize pool of $53,344.

Other prizes included AFL and AFLW Team signed Guernsey’s, Social Club Memberships and Geelong Football club Events Packages, with all prize winners notified earlier in the year.

The Geelong Football Club congratulates Amy and extends a big thank you to everyone who purchased tickets.
