Sam De Koning will be a test ahead of this weekend’s trip to Perth, with the Cats set to take on Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Assistant General Manager of Football Brett Johnson said the Club is still monitoring De Koning ahead of the weekend.

“Sam was unfortunately subbed out with a knee injury on the weekend against the Crows. We will continue to monitor his progress throughout the week and readiness to play ahead of the game against Fremantle,” Johnson said

Meanwhile, Mark O’Connor is set to be sidelined for the next one to two weeks with a knee injury.

“Mark has a minor knee injury that needs to settle, which will require him to be sidelined for the next couple of weeks,” Johnson said.

Gary Rohan will be a test for this weekend’s trip to Perth after missing Saturday’s clash with Adelaide through concussion protocols.

The Cats will continue to assess Rohan’s progress as he works through the concussion protocols.

“There is still a bit to play out in terms of the protocols for the rest of the week, but we’re hopeful that Gary is available.”

Tom Hawkins continues to progress, while Cameron Guthrie is working his way through his recovery.

Geelong head to Perth to take on Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Saturday, with the opening bounce at 4.35pm.
