The Geelong Football Club and Viva Energy are pleased to announce an extension of their partnership, which will run through until the end of 2027 and see Viva Energy continue to support the Cats’ AFLW program as a Premier Partner.

Viva Energy will be the Official Shorts partner of Geelong’s AFLW program for the next three seasons, continuing to build on the company’s support and promotion of female participation in Australian Rules Football.

Geelong Cats Chief Operating Officer Simon Kelleher said the Club was pleased to continue to work with an organisation that shared its values and also has strong roots in Geelong.

“We’re thrilled to be able to continue our partnership with Viva Energy, which has been a key supporter of our women’s team from the beginning,” Kelleher said.

“Viva Energy has shown a great commitment to supporting and promoting our AFLW athletes over the past six years, since signing on for our inaugural season, and we look forward to this partnership continuing in the years to come.”

General Manager of Viva Energy’s Geelong Refinery Bill Patterson said:

“Viva Energy is delighted to extend our partnership with the Cats’ AFLW team for another three years.

"We are so proud of the team and what it has achieved over the past six years and have the highest hopes for what they can achieve this year. The wonderful demeanour, skills and commitment the team demonstrates inspire us all. They are shining examples and wonderful role models for young people everywhere.”

The three-year agreement will see Viva Energy’s partnership with the Geelong Cats move into its eighth year, after first joining as a partner in 2017. They have been a supporter of the AFLW program since its inaugural season.
