Geelong will go into Thursday night's blockbuster Qualifying Final against Port Adelaide unchanged, opting for the same team that took on West Coast in round 24.

The Cats are preparing for their 14th Qualifying Final in the last 18 seasons, after securing another top four finish to extend their incredible run dating back to 2007.

Patrick Dangerfield and Mitch Duncan will both play the 27th Final of their careers, the third most of any current AFL player.

On the flip side the Cats will have six players making their first Finals appearance including Lawson Humphries, Ollie Dempsey, Shannon Neale, Shaun Mannagh, Oliver Henry and Jack Bowes.

Adelaide Oval is regarded as one of the tougher road trips in the competition, but Geelong have found recent success there winning four of their past five games at the venue.

The winner of Thursday night's game will progress through to a home Preliminary Final, with the loser to face the winner of Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs in a Semi Final next week.

Cats fans can catch all the action live and free on Channel 7, with coverage beginning at 7.00pm AEST ahead of the opening bounce at 7.40pm AEST. Those listening to radio coverage will be able catch all the pre-match build up from 6.00pm on K rock Football.
