Lowther on Geelong's Accuracy in Front of Goal

Off the back of some earlier scoreboard pressure on the weekend, we had three goalkickers in the first quarter so the spread there was good for us.

We kicked straight which puts some pressure on, where as in the past four or five weeks we have had the ball in our front half and missed some shots.

We were missing that scoreboard pressure that puts ourselves in a really positive mindset and the opposition under a bit of anxiety.

Brisbane are an excellent team and we have nothing but respect for them, but things probably looked a bit different for them off the back of our efficiency going forward.

Maybe last year there was some frustration around performance, but this year we think we are going okay consistently but just not getting little things here and there that leads to positive results.

Lowther on the Cats Performance on Sunday

We have been challenged and haven't won games, but the four quarter effort and efficiency in front of goal supported the weekend's result.

We played a really good game against Gold Coast where you would say everything clicked, we thought here we go this is more like us and that was a month ago.

It has taken a month to get that consistency right again, but we had it across all lines and every player had a really strong contribution to the win on the weekend.

Things worked off the back of our efficiency, our contested method was really strong, our aerial game was good and our ground ball game was good.

It clicked on Sunday, so the challenge for us again against an emerging team like West Coast under a new coach who are playing exciting footy, can we do it again?

Lowther on the Interstate Trip

We tend to bond really well when we go interstate.

We don't get those opportunities to stay around each other for long periods, being a shortened season and the condensed period saw us come in and out of the program really quickly to try and recover.

Any chance to spend time together is a real positive, so lets make it three from three interstate which would be nice.

Lowther on Aishling Moloney

It may look like she just throws it on the boot, but she practices that kick a lot like a hybrid drop punt slash banana.

They get a lot of purchase on that the Irish players, Aishling knows the way the ball is going to move off the back of that kick.

She knows her distance, her footwork to get set and evade then kick the ball forward is quite planned and measured.

She kicked it really well, a first quarter goal and last quarter goal were really important for us.

She has had a great year, if she is not on consideration for All-Australian I would be very surprised.
