Geelong will head into the second night of the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft with four picks, after an entertaining opening day that saw their selections fluctuate up and down the draft board. 

Entering the draft with their first pick at #45, other clubs matching bids on the opening night meant the Cats first selection will now land at #42. 

The biggest movement came with Geelong's second pick, which started the night at #57 but will now be selected at #50 after a rapid ascension up the board. 

With the action commencing at pick #28 tonight, the Cats first two picks will be the 14th and 22nd selections to be made on the second night.

The 2024 Telstra AFL Draft will be broadcast live on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App from 6.45pm AEDT on Thursday, November 21. Fox Footy and Kayo will begin their coverage from 7pm AEDT.

THE ROOKIE DRAFT

The rookie draft will be held the afternoon after the national draft finishes (Friday November 22). 

Players taken here are added to a club's rookie list, rather than the senior list. 

Players taken in the rookie draft are primarily those who were overlooked in the national draft. 

The draft order for the rookie draft is reverse ladder position. It is not possible to trade and swap rookie draft picks.
