GEELONG defender Jake Kolodjashnij has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club that will see him in the blue and white hoops until the end of 2021.
The 23-year-old will enter his fifth AFL season with Geelong when he plays game number 71 this Friday night at the MCG against Collingwood.
Originally selected with the 41st pick in the 2013 national draft, Kolodjashnij debuted in 2015. He has become a regular contributor to the Cats defensive unit, and has helped the club reach the finals in each of the past three years.
“Jake continues to learn and develop, as he has done since he first arrived at the club. He is an integral part of where we are going as a football club,” Geelong’s general manager of football Simon Lloyd said.
“He is a very consistent player and fits our team ethos. We are pleased that the club and Jake could reach this agreement so easily and quickly and look forward to him continuing with the club into the future.”
