BioCATS offers Year 5 and 6 students a rare insight into the inner sanctum of the Geelong Cats. The club employs highly specialised sports scientists and mathematicians, who help ensure that our athletes are able to analyse and refine their performance and technique in order to gain that winning edge.
The BioCATS program was launched in 2013 and has seen over 8,900 students from over 100 different schools within the Geelong region engage in the full day incursion, based in our Deakin Cats Community Centre at GMHBA Stadium. In 2018 alone, we will be educating 1,900 students in science, maths, technology and health, and the way it shapes the game of football, making 2018 the biggest year on record for the BioCATS program.
Our dedicated educators from BioLAB and the Geelong Cats guide students through activities such as learning the skill of handballing, a mini draft camp, utilising state of the art GPS tracking technology and an amazing race!
