Skye to light up Saturday night
Cats fans attending this Saturday night’s clash with Carlton will be entertained by more than just the talent on the field.
Singer-songwriter Alice Skye will perform pre-match and at half-time as the club celebrates its Djilang Round.
A Wergaia woman, Skye was awarded the inaugural First Peoples Emerging Artist Award at the One of One International Women’s Day Breakfast in Melbourne in March.
Skye will also be Triple J Unearthed feature artist next week.
Skye’s music is described as “beautiful”, “ethereal” and “deeply absorbing” and her singles including “Friends with Feelings”, “You are the Mountains”, “60%” and “Poetry By Text” have received rotation on Triple J Unearthed and DoubleJ.
Skye will perform as a part of an extended celebration of local Indigenous artists pre-game.
