Geelong’s VFLW side is ready to take on Collingwood this Sunday for a spot in the 2018 VFLW Grand Final.

The preliminary final will kick off at 11:45am at Stannards Stadium (North Port Oval), and is set to be an exciting contest with the two teams playing out a draw when they last met in round two.

Geelong will be looking to replicate last weekend’s thrilling semi-final win over the NT Thunder, a victory which was spurred on by the support of the large Cats crowd. With Collingwood finishing as minor premiers but losing their semi-final against Hawthorn, Geelong is set to face its biggest test yet with everything to play for.

The Cats have made one change from last week, with Michelle Fedele to replace Nina Morrison.

There will be plenty of talent on display for the Cats, with VFLW Team of the Year members Rocky Cranston, Bec Goring and Mia-Rae Clifford all ready to continue their impressive form in Geelong’s first ever finals campaign, and are among the 12 AFLW listed players named in the side.

The winner of the preliminary final will face Hawthorn at the newly named Marvel Stadium (Etihad) in the Grand Final on Sunday 23 September.

Tickets are available on the VFL website and can also be purchased at Stannards Stadium on the day. There is free entry for children under 15.

The match will also be live streamed via the VFL website.
