A terrific one-on-one shut down defender, Jed Bews will come under strong consideration for a recall to the senior team if he can prove his fitness on the track this week.
Charlie Constable (30 disposals and one goal)
Continues to rack up big numbers in the VFL with his sixth 30 plus disposal game this season. Had nine handball receives and two contested marks demonstrating that the first-year Cat is starting to add new facets to his game.
Stewart Crameri (13 disposals, 7 marks & 4 goals)
Was the dominant forward on the ground kicking four goals and presenting strongly in the Bendigo Bank Cats’ big win over Coburg.
Lachie Fogarty (16 disposals and 10 tackles)
Was used higher up the ground in his first VFL game gathering 16 disposals and three clearances. His defensive pressure a highlight with 10 strong tackles.
Zach Guthrie (19 disposals, three rebound 50s)
Named in the best for the third consecutive week in the VFL, Guthrie is building some strong form heading into the pointy end of the season. His positioning and ability to read the play make him an asset to the team.
Quinton Narkle (34 disposals, eight hard ball gets, one goal)
Narkle put forward a strong case for inclusion against the Suns with a powerful performance on Saturday. The 20-year-old produced a terrific all-round game in the midfield, equally effective inside and out with 34 disposals and a goal.
Zac Smith (17 disposals, 54 hitouts & two goals)
Smith put his hand up for a recall with a dominant performance on the weekend. He collected 17 disposals and 54 hitouts, while also pushing forward to kick two goals.
