Mitch Duncan
The forgotten member of a star Cats midfield, Duncan was a late withdrawal on Monday with hamstring tightness. Most would expect Duncan to come straight back into the side, which would allow more freedom for Chris Scott to throw Dangerfield or Ablett forward more often.
Zac Smith
Dropped for the Easter Monday clash with Hawthorn, with the Cats favouring the more athletic Rhys Stanley. Smith had 14 touches and 33 hitouts, combining well with Ryan Abbott to give the Cats midfielders first use against Werribee. Could be brought back into the side to help support Stanley against Naitanui and Lycett.
Jordan Cunico
The fourth year midfielder had 32 touches and 9 marks in the VFL, playing a key role in the midfield. Played one game in 2017 against Port Adelaide and will be itching to add to that tally.
Scott Selwood
Had 27 touches (11 contested) and 4 tackles in his second game back after ankle surgery in late January. Could be given a couple more weeks in the VFL to get match fitness given his injury history.
Charlie Constable
Could we see a fifth debutant in three weeks? Constable was dominant against Werribee with 31 touches and a goal. Would be an outside chance to come into the side, if Duncan doesn’t get up from his sore hamstring.
Wylie Buzza
The Cats favoured Esava Ratugolea in round one, but Buzza had a dominant performance up forward, with 9 marks and 2 goals. An imposing figure at 199cm and 102kg, Buzza would stretch the Eagles defence if selected. Played 6 games in 2017, kicking 5 goals and can also provide a chop out in the ruck if required.
