Geelong has reached an important milestone on the eve of round one, with the club’s membership tally passing 50,000.
This milestone has been reached a month earlier than last year.
Everyone at the club have now set their sights on achieving a record of more than 57,000 members this season.
“Membership underpins the financial success of our club,” said the Cats’ chief commercial officer, Justin Reeves.
“A growing membership ensures that our club is strong on and off the field.
“Every dollar that comes to the club through our membership program stays with the club and allows us to provide our players with the best chance of on field success in our pursuit of greatness.
“Each of us know someone who is proud to call themselves a Geelong Cats supporter but for some reason or another hasn’t become a member of our club.
“We can all play our role in our pursuit of greatness by reminding them of the significance and importance of our membership program.”
