In just his 26th game, 'Stevie J' made the footy world sit and up take notice when he bagged six goals against the mighty Brisbane Lions, who were just weeks away from winning their third premiership on the trot. It was a brilliant effort in which he showed off his prodigious skill but also laid seven tackles. Still, the umpires didn't think Johnson's performance was worthy of a Brownlow Medal vote.

2. Grand Final, 2007, MCG: 
Geelong 24.19 (163) def Port Adelaide 6.8 (44)
Johnson was among the many heroes as the Cats' broke a 44-year premiership drought with a thumping win over the Power at the home of footy. He was awarded the Norm Smith Medal after tallying 23 disposals and four goals.

3. Round 19, 2011, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 37.11 (233) def Melbourne 7.5 (47)
Johnson put on an absolute clinic as the Cats destroyed the Demons. He finished with 34 disposals, seven goals and 10 goal-assists. Yet Johnson only polled two Brownlow Medal votes. Joel Selwood, who collected 43 disposals, was awarded the three.

4. Grand Final, 2011, MCG: 
Geelong 18.11 (119) def Collingwood 12.9 (81)
After suffering a serious knee injury during the Cats' preliminary final win over West Coast, Johnson found himself in the spotlight during Grand Final week as he battled to prove his fitness for the big game. With the help of some painkillers, he took to the field and produced a magical performance, kicking four brilliant goals, including a snap in the last quarter that sealed the deal.

5. Round 22, 2013, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 13.14 (92) def Sydney Swans 7.6 (48)
Johnson ran riot against the defending premiers, collecting 26 disposals and booting 4.3. He was later rewarded with three Brownlow Medal votes.
