GEELONG has completed a clean sweep of the AFLCA coaches votes after the side’s comprehensive 55-point victory over North Melbourne.
Patrick Dangerfield was a unanimous pick for best on ground, earning the maximum 10 votes for his 33 touches, seven clearances and a goal.
Dangerfield has now moved to seventh in the overall standings, 21 votes behind the leader Marcus Bontempelli. Tim Kelly sits in second place, seven votes behind the Bulldogs star.
Gryan Miers’ three majors were enough to earn him five votes, in a strong return to form for the young Cat, who booted multiple goals for the first time since Round 14 against the Crows.
Quinton Narkle and Mitch Duncan were both awarded four votes in their comeback and milestone matches respectively.
Tom Hawkins, Gary Ablett, Brandan Parfitt and Mark Blicavs were the other Cats to receive votes.
