The Geelong Cats will officially welcome in the 2015 season with a new-look Season Launch event at Simonds Stadium.
The club is excited to unveil its revitalised concept which will see its Season Launch event return back to the heartland and back to the fans.
To give all supporters an opportunity to be involved, the twilight event on Friday 27th March will offer members and fans two different options, The Main Event inside Simonds Stadium and the Mighty Cats Festival, around the Kardinia Park precinct.
The Main Event will feature Matthew Scarlett’s induction to club legend status, the 2015 team presentation, live entertainment plus more!
The ticketed event which begins at 6pm will offer fans an entertaining show at a low price of $12 for members, $15 for general public, $5 for kids (under 6 free) or $30 for families. Tickets are limited so members and fans are encouraged to book fast.
To kick off the school holidays, the Mighty Cats Festival will offer a free, family-friendly atmosphere. From 3pm an array of activities will bring the Kardinia Park precinct to life including market stalls, food trucks and live entertainment.
Geelong Cats Chief Executive Brian Cook said the club’s decision to bring the event back down the highway provides members and fans with a great value opportunity.
“The reason behind the decision to bring our annual Season Launch back to Geelong was the need to engage with our members and fans through an event tailored to them.
“The revived event will offer a diverse range of activities for all ages. It will be a celebration of our mighty club, a great night out and a great way to kick off the 2015 season.”
