Cats TV joined Chris Scott for all the answers on Tweet the Coach.

This week Scott spoke about how the Cats control the hype that comes with big games, such as this weekend under the lights.

According to Scott, the Cats have a lot of experience when it comes to playing on the big stage and Saturday night’s game will be no different.

“Probably the way we have tried to for the other big games that we’ve played in over the past couple of years,” Scott told Cats TV.

“Our players are pretty experienced, they relish the occasion on the big stage, although this is going to be slightly different to the big finals at the MCG but it’s a big occasion nonetheless.”

Scott says the Cats know when to switch their attention from the hype to the game.

“We will try and keep the week pretty consistent and focus on our game and improving that.”

Since arriving at Geelong in 2011, Scott has shared in many memorable moments. However, he admits the most enjoyable one so far has been watching the younger players grow and progress at a senior level.

“There are a lot of things, (although) I take probably the most enjoyment from the development of our young players.”

“It was clearly the mandate I had when I came into the club, to try and maintain the level in the short term especially with our experienced players… and to get this club in a position where we can keep contending for finals each year.”
