A big win for the AFL side but some even bigger names putting their hands up for a game against the Suns.

Allen Christensen
Just two games into his return via the VFL the Cats have all but declared Allen Christensen ready to go for an AFL return. Christensen put in another best on ground performance in the Cats victory against Coburg. He finished the day with 22 possessions (11 contested), seven tackles and four clearances.

Josh Caddy
Caddy made his first appearance for the Cats since breaking his foot early in the season. And a terrific appearance it was. Caddy relished the conditions finishing the day with 22 disposals, 6 clearances and a goal. His name will be much talked about at the selection table this week.

Shane Kersten
Six goals for the Cats young forward has got chins wagging. In his post match press conference, Chris Scott said the Cats have been waiting a long time to see him play. Will it be this week against the Suns?

Hamish McIntosh
The Cats big ruckman was rested this week by the Cats after a solid start to the year. The question for the Cats is whether McIntosh comes back in at the expense of Simpson, to partner with Simpson or whether he is included at all. Will be a tough one for selectors.

Steve Johnson
Johnson was a late withdrawal for the Cats after they decided his nagging back soreness could do with a rest. A big running session on Geelong cricket oval on Sunday morning will mean he has had plenty of kilometres put into his legs. A big in for the Cats.

Jared Rivers
The Cats took the cautious approach with Rivers giving him the week off to rest his troubled knee. Rivers is almost the Cats number one in form backman this year meaning he’ll be at the front of the Cats selectors minds.

Taylor Hunt
Hunt was sent to the VFL with some clear objectives to achieve. If the Cats hierarchy think he has achieved these objectives his defensive nous may be called upon. 22 touches and a game high nine marks in slippery conditions.
