THE CATS are unlikely to rest youngsters Cory Gregson and Darcy Lang in the next couple of weeks, according to senior coach Chris Scott.
Scott was asked on this week’s episode of Tweet The Coach, brought to you by Momentum Energy, whether Gregson or Lang would be given a week off so that Jarrad Jansen and Jake Kolodjashnij can have a crack at AFL footy.
But Scott replied: “Probably our program over the next month, with the bye coming up and a long break post the Port Adelaide game, (resting players is) not in the forefront of our thinking.
“We do have a significant injury list at the moment, which limits our options in that respect, but we are probably of the view that we won’t need to rest anyone.”
Other issues discussed by Scott on Tweet The Coach were:
* Getting more options free when moving the ball out of the backline
* Whether the clubs needs more mature-age players on its rookie list
* What the review process after a game entails
* The Cats’ struggle to win contested possessions
