1. Semi-final, 2013, MCG:
Geelong 13.18 (96) def Port Adelaide 12.8 (80)
Having been beaten by Fremantle at Simonds Stadium in a major upset in the first week of the finals, the Geelong was aiming to keep its premiership hopes alive when it took on Ken Hinkley's young Port Adelaide side in a semi-final at the MCG. Things were looking grim when the Power opened a 23-point half-time lead, but Chris Scott's Cats fought back strongly, kicking 10.12 to 5.3 in the second half and running out 16-point winners. Veteran midfielder Paul Chapman, who finished with four goals, was among the heroes. But it proved to be the last game that 'Chappy' played for Geelong, as a couple of days later he copped a one-match suspension for a high bump on Port's Robbie Gray.
2. Grand Final, 2007, MCG:
Geelong 24.19 (163) def Port Adelaide 6.8 (44)
The Cats broke their 44-year premiership drought with a truly dominant performance in the most important game of the season. Mark Thompson's team had the game in the bag when it led by 52 points at half-time, yet the players continued their rampage after the long break. Geelong kicked 13 goals to two in the second half to win the game by 119 points – a record margin in VFL/AFL Grand Finals. Steve Johnson won the Norm Smith Medal after kicking four goals and tallying 23 disposals.

3. Round 21, 2007, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 15.11 (101) def by Port Adelaide 16.10 (106)
After posting 15 wins on the trot, the Cats went into the game as hot favourites. Yet their premiership credentials were thrown into doubt when Port came to the Cattery and pinched a five-point win. The contest was decided in a thrilling last two minutes. First, Gary Ablett Jnr put Geelong in front with a brilliant goal, then Domenic Cassisi stole the win for Port Adelaide when he kicked truly on the run with just three seconds remaining.
4. Round 14, 2003, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 10.10 (70) def Port Adelaide 10.9 (69)
The Cats led by 14 points at three-quarter time, then fell behind late in the last quarter. With only a minute or so remaining, Ben Graham took a mark at centre half-forward and aimed a kick at Matthew Scarlett who was streaming towards goal. The ball eluded Scarlett, but in a stroke of good fortune it kept rolling and went straight through for what proved to be the winning goal.
Cats great Cameron Mooney will look back at this match in our next episode of Thirsty Camel Throwback Thursdays.

5. Round 18, 1997, Simonds Stadium:
Geelong 25.9 (159) def Port Adelaide 11.8 (74)
This was Port's first year in the competition, and the new boys had shocked the Cats in their first meeting at Football Park earlier in the season. But Gary Ayres' Geelong side turned the tables in style, thumping John Cahill's inexperienced team by 85 points. Jason Snell kicked five goals, while Ronnie Burns and Paul Lynch chipped in with four. Peter Riccardi was best on ground after tallying 42 disposals and kicking three goals.
