Cats TV ventured down to the nib Medical Room for the latest injury update with Geelong’s physio, Mike Snelling.

Unfortunately Paul Chapman has recently had a setback with his hamstring, which will take a few more weeks to settle.

“We will really take a back seat now wit him and rest him up for a little bit to make sure this lesion heals as much as it can before we start loading him again,” Snelling said.

Snelling says Steve Motlop has also been hampered with a slight injury in his knee and will be out this weekend.

“He has grumbled along all year with that patellar tendonitis and he’s being treated this week, which meant he needed a week off for that.”

“It’s just before the bye so he gets two weeks for that treatment to work and hopefully we’ll get to test him the week after.”

James Podsiadly has made positive progress and Snelling hopes to give him the nod after training on Thursday.

“After we saw that knee and ankle injury that he had, he has come up really well. He trained today on the side and did some controlled agility training, and we’ll expect him to get into training and test him on Thursday before making the decision for him this weekend.”
